How to Signal Seniority Without Overreaching
What signals what
- Sr PM signals: mentored 2+ PMs, drove multi-team initiatives
- GPM signals: managed PMs, owned P&L, set org OKRs
- Director signals: hiring, budget management, executive comms
- Never claim seniority you can't defend in interview
What NOT to Include
Anti-patterns
- ❌ "Detail-oriented team player" and other cliches
- ❌ Skills you can't demonstrate
- ❌ Certifications that aren't respected (Scrum PSPO by itself)
- ❌ Personal photo (except in Europe/Asia)
- ❌ References available upon request (obvious)
